PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a user of a water closet has discomfort about the following noise because an air guiding pipe serves as a new noise generating source on ground that the conventional siphon-type toilet bowl is provided with the air guiding pipe for preventing the noise from being generated by the nonaction of siphonage. SOLUTION: This water closet comprises: a channel 9 which is formed so that flushing water can be guided to a bowl 6 from a water supply means; a trap 15 which is connected to an outlet of the bowl 6 so as to discharge soil in the bowl 6; an air guiding hole 30 which is formed in the upstream portion of the trap 15; an air guiding passage 24 which is partially provided with an intake hole 20 for taking in air; and a noise reducing member 28 with sound absorbency or sound deadening properties, which is attached to the intake hole 20. Thus, resonances in the air guiding passage 24 can be reduced by the noise reducing member 28, and the resonances propagated to the outside of the air guiding passage 24 from the air guiding passage 24 can be turned down.
