PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching a photocatalytic material by which the photocatalytic activities are efficiently provided. SOLUTION: The method for attaching the photocatalytic material is the method for attaching the photocatalytic material to a fabric. When the fabric is a napped fabric 10 comprising a sheet-shaped ground weave part 11 and a nap part 12 comprising a plurality of napped yarns 2 raised from the surface of the ground weave part 11, the method comprises a nap-forming step for napping the surface layer part 22 of the nap part 12, and a photocatalytic material-attaching step for attaching the photocatalytic material to the nap part 12. When the fabric is a woven fabric, a knit fabric or a nonwoven fabric, the method comprises a nap-forming step for napping the surface of the fabric, and a photocatalytic material-attaching step for attaching the photocatalytic material to the surface. Because the fabric obtained by the photocatalytic material-attaching method exhibits the photocatalytic activities in good efficiency even if being used under a condition of little quantity of light, the fabric can suitably be used for an interior material for an automobile.
