PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick film electrodeposition coating material, capable of forming thick coat by one coating, and exerting excellent coat performance. SOLUTION: A first coat 2 of a thick coat having 40-70μm coat thickness is formed by performing pretreatment using chemical treatment on the surface of a metal 1 such as a pickled cold-rolled steel sheet or rolled steel sheet to make the surface conditions suitable for electrodeposition coating, and performing one electrodeposition coating on the metal 1 with a thick film electrodeposition coating material comprising 20-25 wt.% urethane-modified acrylic resin, 1-2 wt.% polyamine resin, 2-3 wt.% polyacrylic resin, a non-lead antirust pigment, a coloring pigment and a curing catalyst.
