<p>This invention discloses a power control method and system used in communication systems. Said method includes, access of bit error rate of data rate control channel and packet error rate of reverse traffic channel; comparison between said bit error rate, said packet error rate, target bit error rate and target packet error rate; increase in power control threshold if said either bit or packet error rate exceeds corresponding target one; and inner loop power control based on said power control threshold. Said invention tries to guarantee DRC channel quality as high as possible through transmission power adjustment with access terminals, thereby makes service sector capable of assembling compatible packet format based on the rate requested by access terminals, and maintaining high forward link throughput. Said invention also provides implementing devices used for power control in communication systems.</p> |
