METHOD FOR PROVIDING EARLY-MEDIA SERVICE BASED ON SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL

A method for providing a session establishment protocol-based early media service is provided to allow an origination terminal to receive and reproduce early media discriminately with a regular session by using an early session. An AS(Application Server) receives the first invite message for a call connection with a destination terminal from an origination terminal. The AP operates in a B2BUA(Back-to-Back User Agent) mode and transmits the second invite message for a call connection with the origination terminal to the destination terminal. The AS obtains media information of contents to be provided to the origination terminal from a media server. The AS establishes the first session for transferring early media from the media server to the origination terminal. The media server provides early media to the origination terminal in the first session. The AS receives a 200 OK message according to a call answer of the destination terminal. The AS transmits a stop command to the media server to terminate the transmission of the early media. The AS establishes the second session for call communication between the origination terminal and the destination terminal.
