<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle surrounding confirming apparatus in which a surrounding video signal whose luminance level is partially considerably different is corrected and a surrounding image with high visibility is generated. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle surrounding confirming apparatus (100) which presents an image (I) photographed by an imaging device (C) installed in a vehicle (V), an image acquisition unit (2) receives an image (I; Sv), a selection unit (4, 8, Si2) select a partial region (Ir) of the image received by the capturing unit (2) on the basis of an advancing direction of the vehicle (V), and a correction unit (6) corrects the partial region (Ir) selected by the selection unit (2, 8, Sc). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
