<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID system that can reduce the power consumption of tags even if a reading device transmits an inquiry signal including a plurality of tag IDs. <P>SOLUTION: A BCC generation part 234 of the reading device 200 generates BCCs for respective tag IDs, and a data synthesis part 232 matches the tag IDs with the corresponding BCCs to generate transmission data. In the receiving active RFID tag 100, a BCC check part 164 BCC-checks every received ID and BCC, and if the result is OK, a data interpretation part 162 extracts the ID to compare it with a tag ID retrieved from a memory 120. If the received ID matches the tag ID retrieved from the memory 120, a reception part 190 and a data decoding part 160 are disabled, and a data generation part 150 generates transmission data including the tag ID retrieved from the memory 120.
