<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a cooling apparatus and a cooling method which can efficiently cool a multicore processor. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus is provided with: a temperature sensor 221 for measuring the average temperature of a die; a multicore processor 102 having a plurality of processors 201, 211 to 218; a temperature controller 230 and a cooling fan 240 for cooling the multicore processor 102; a first storage part 251 for storing a maximum temperature specified for the case temperature of the multicore processor 102 and a reference temperature measured by a temperature sensor in a no load state of the plurality of processors 201, 211 to 218; a second storage part 252 for storing the maximum temperature specified for the case temperature of the multicore processor 102, a temperature difference between a temperature measured by the temperature sensor in a state that load is applied at least to one of the plurality of processors 201, 211 to 218 and the reference temperature and relation of distribution of usage rates of a management processor and sub-processors; and a setting part for setting a set temperature in a temperature register 232 in accordance with the distribution of the usage rates of the processors 201, 211 to 218. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
