PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus or the like which can greatly reduce consumption of a liquid such as ink ejected from a nozzle opening part so as to quickly recover a negative pressure in a cap part. SOLUTION: The liquid jet apparatus 10 comprises a liquid jet head 20 with both the nozzle opening part which ejects the liquid and a nozzle formation part 21 equipped with the nozzle opening part, the cap part 17 disposed to the nozzle formation part to cover the nozzle opening part, and a pump part 19 for sucking the liquid in the cap part. The liquid jet head includes a liquid jet head 22 for a target for ejecting the liquid to the target, and a liquid jet head 23 for the cap part for ejecting the liquid into the cap part. A waste liquid tank 31 which stores the liquid sucked by the pump part is connected to the pump part. A waste liquid supply part 34 for supplying the waste liquid stored in the waste liquid tank to the liquid jet head for the cap part is formed in the waste liquid tank.
