PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the serialization of interstage ratios of gear-change stages used frequently from being largely reversed in a multistage shift planetary gear train having forward 8 stages. SOLUTION: Gear ratios of first and second sun gears 20, 30 with respect to a first ring gear 22 of a planetary gear group 16 following a planetary gear set 14 having first and second change gear ratios are made different from each other. When five rotation members of the planetary gear group 16 that are arranged according to respective gear ratios on a common velocity diagram are referred to as a first member, a second member, a third member, a fourth member and a fifth member successively from one side, the first member can be driven by an input shaft 10 at the first change gear ratio and the second member is connected to an output shaft 12. The third member can be driven by the input shaft 10 at the second change gear ratio and can be secured to a case 52. The fourth member can be secured to the case 52 and the fifth member can be driven by the input shaft 10 at the second change gear ratio.
