DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING RISER FOR COLD/HOT WATER SUPPLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supporting a riser for cold/hot water supply the simplifying support work and height adjustment work of the riser coated with a heat insulating material. SOLUTION: The device comprises the riser 1 coated with the heat insulating material 8 and wound with a cover cylinder body 11 formed of a material smoother and harder than the heat insulating material on the outer periphery of the heat insulating material; a support stand 9 fixed to a floor slab 2; and a diameter expansible clip member 10 mounted to the support stand. The riser 1 is inserted together with the heat insulating material 8 and the cover cylinder body 11 through the clip member 10. The clip member 10 generates friction between its contact face and the outer peripheral surface of the cover cylinder body 11 and allows the riser 1 to rest in an optional height position only by the frictional force, and the riser 1 is vertically slidable against the frictional force by a manual operating force applied to the riser 1.
