PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub unit bearing for preventing damage to a magnetic encoder and preventing the degradation of signal accuracy by precluding the biting of foreign matters into a gap between the encoder and a sensor part. SOLUTION: The hub unit bearing comprises a cover mounted at the vehicle center side end of an inner ring, an axial space formed between the cover and the encoder, the sensor part mounted on the outer ring or on a mounting member for the outer ring, and a seal part formed between the cover and the outer ring or the mounting member for the outer ring.
