PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the mounting work of a balance weight. SOLUTION: A torque converter is provided with a front cover 2 connected to a crank shaft of an engine, a pump impeller 3 coaxially arranged with respect to the front cover 2 and having an outer peripheral part welded to an outer peripheral part of the front cover 2 and generating a flow of oil by rotating, and a turbine runner disposed between the pump impeller 3 and the front cover 2 and rotationally driven by the flow of the oil and connected to an input shaft of a transmission. The balance weight for adjusting rotation balance is connected to the front cover 2 or the pump impeller 3. An amount of a welded bead 13 formed along the circumferential direction for the prescribed amount by welding is increased in an unbalance position in the circumferential direction, and a welded bead 13a is formed, and a part of the welded bead 13 is used as the balance weight 14.
