PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic optical inspection system and its inspection method for automatically inspecting, using an optical method, the appearance of an object to be inspected of a film or tape form where a flexible print circuit board unit is formed continuously. SOLUTION: The automatic optical inspection apparatus for optically inspecting a print circuit board comprises a photographing unit for photographing the print circuit board, a lighting unit for irradiating a photographing area of the print circuit board with light, and a support unit for supporting the photographing area of the print circuit board.
