PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can be suitably used for controlling the surface potential of a resin article to solve troubles caused by static electricity occurring in the resin article. SOLUTION: A molding tool 14 for molding a targeted resin article 84 is provided with insulating means 60, 62, 64, to prevent electrical grounding of a contact portion with at least the resin article 84 in the molding tool 14. Under that condition, electric charge having polarity and voltage set based on the polarity and voltage of the static electricity occurred in the resin article 84 is applied to the contact portion of the molding tool 14 from an electric charge application means 66, to charge the contact portion of the molding tool 14.
