PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging press with which the unevenness of load in the axial direction of an eccentric shaft can be restrained and the miniaturization of the press itself can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the forging press provided with the eccentric shaft ES for working a slide S, a driving mechanism 10 for driving the eccentric shaft ES is provided and the driving mechanism 10 is composed of a power source for generating the driving power and a transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving power generated from the power source into the eccentric shaft ES, and the transmission mechanism supplies the driving power to both end parts of the eccentric shaft ES and is constituted so that the driving powers supplied to both end parts become the same. Since the generation of the unevenness to the forging load caused by the twisting of the eccentric shaft can be prevented, the lowering of the forming precision can be prevented and a driven system can be compacted and the total weight of the driven system can be lightened in weight.
