A puncture needle for reducing pain at the time of puncturing.The puncture needle formed of a tubular member has a forward end portion functioning as a puncture region defined by (1) the rear portion of an ellipse obtained by cutting a columnar member obliquely forward from the rear, (2) an isosceles triangle portion having the central portion at the forward edge of the rear portion of the ellipse as the base, extending forward and obliquely downward from the central portion, and further extending obliquely downward from the spreading direction of the rear portion of the ellipse, (3) right and left inclining face portions extending obliquely downward from the oblique sides of the isosceles triangle while including the oblique sides of the isosceles triangle, the forward edge of the rear portion of the ellipse and the line connecting the forward vertex of the isosceles triangle and the forward end portion of the puncture region, and (4) a part of the side face of the tubular member. |
