<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sesame-fermented composition and a method for producing the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The sesame-fermented composition contains ≥95% aglycone sesame lignan, and has the total antioxidant capacities, DHHP free radical-eliminating abilities, antioxidant capacities of lipid, and human LDL peroxidation-inhibiting abilities extremely improved compared to those of the unfermented one. The sesame-fermented composition also has abilities for inhibiting the proliferation of a stomach cancer cell, a cancer cell of the cervix uteri, a breast cancer cell, a liver cancer cell and a colon cancer cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
