<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering system which gives smooth feeling of steering, and which does not have output fluctuations of a brushless motor or the fluctuations of steering auxiliary force. <P>SOLUTION: The motor power steering system is provided with a steering torque detection means, a motor for imparting auxiliary torque to the steering system, a motor rotating angle detection means for detecting the rotational angle of the motor, a motor current detection means for detecting motor current, and a motor control means 15 for PWM for drive-controlling the motor, based on signals output from the steering torque detection means, the motor rotational angle detection means, and the motor current detection means. The motor is a brushless motor 101, and the motor rotational angle detection means is constituted to include a resolver 102. PWM driving and resolver magnetization are operated by a signal generated and outputted from the same oscillator, so that either a PWM drive frequency for drive-controlling the brushless motor 101 or the magnetizing frequency of the resolver is set to an integral multiple of the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
