<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit attribute information originating in a client device among attribute information to be recorded in logs at an output device side to an output device in outputting an electronic document owned by a server device from the output device according to an instruction from the client device. <P>SOLUTION: When a user instructs the printing of a document from a client, a server prepares the print job data of the document, and transmits it to the client. A data reading part 262 of the client acquires the print job data from the server. An attribute acquisition part 264 of the client acquires attributes originating in the client from an OS22. An attribute addition part 266 adds the attributes to the print job data acquired from the server in a prescribed format for making a printer record the attributes as the items of logs.
