<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote education system and a method for achieving a remote education technology enabling a teacher to easily measure student's degree of comprehension, to discover a point which the student does not comprehend according to the degree of comprehension, to give intensive explanation on the discovered point, and to enhance efficiency in teaching. <P>SOLUTION: A student terminal device 3 detects a touch position of the handwritten input by a student A to obtain handwritten input information, and creates and stores handwritten input time information including elapsed-time information of the action. The stored handwritten input time information is, upon request of the student A or upon request of a teacher terminal device 2, transmitted to the teacher terminal device 2. The teacher terminal device 2 stores the transmitted handwritten input time information, displays the handwritten input information upon request of a teacher B based on the elapsed-time information, receives explanation information inputted from the teacher B, and transmits the received explanation information to the student terminal device 3.
