PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip antenna suitable for efficient mounting in communication equipment, and also to provide the communication equipment using the chip antenna. SOLUTION: There are provided: a first chip antenna element, having a first magnetic substrate and the linear conductor that is provided inside the first magnetic substrate and has at least one end exposed onto the end face of the first magnetic substrate; and a second chip antenna element, having a second magnetic substrate and a linear conductor passing through the second magnetic substrate. The conductors of the first and second chip antenna elements are connected in series to each other by a connection conductor arranged between the first and second chip antenna elements.
