PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone apparatus in which a plurality of speeches a little preceding to the present can be recorded with much less memory capacity in a case where a speech is missed, or the like. SOLUTION: When a line is connected with an opposite-side telephone set, a control device 11 instructs a recording and reproducing device 14 to start storage. Voice data sent from a network control unit 12 and a handset 13 are written and stored in a ring buffer a21. When recording is instructed by a recording button 161, the control device 11 instructs recording to the recording and reproducing device 14. The recording and reproducing device 14 stops writing voice data into the ring buffer a21, writes and stores following voice data in a ring buffer b22. Each time recording is instructed by the recording button 161 thereafter, the recording and reproducing device 14 stops writing voice data into the ring buffer b22 under writing voice data, writes and stores following voice data in the next ring buffer.
