PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an oil pump and improve a degree of freedom in layout of a transmission while improving fuel economy by prohibiting useless supply of lubricating oil to shift stages not relating to power transmission. SOLUTION: This lubricating device comprises a first lubricating oil supply passage for supplying lubricating oil to a first transmission gear mechanism to which driving force is transmitted via a first clutch, a second lubricating oil supply passage for supplying lubricating oil to a second transmission gear mechanism to which driving force is transmitted via a second clutch, and a selector valve laid between a lubricating oil supply source and each of the first lubricating oil supply passage and the second lubricating oil supply passage. The selector valve puts the lubricating oil supply source and the first lubricating oil supply passage into a communicated condition when first clutch hydraulic pressure is produced to make the first clutch into a fastened condition, and puts the lubricating oil supply source and the second lubricating oil supply passage into a communicating condition when second clutch hydraulic pressure is produced to make the second clutch into a fastened condition.
