PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information on the remainder of a battery while including the temperature and/or voltage dependency of a battery even if the operating temperature situation of an equipment body is changed frequently and power consumption is changed frequently. SOLUTION: Electronic equipment comprises: a calculation circuit 23 for calculating the remainder of a battery cell 51 in the body of a video camera 1 and calculating the usable time; a liquid crystal display panel 16 for displaying the calculated battery remainder and the usable time of the battery; and a storage means for storing a plurality of pieces of information on power consumption corresponding to each operation mode of the camera 1 and storing a temperature correction coefficient for correcting the usable time of the battery according to the temperature of the battery cell 51. The usable time of the battery based on the current battery capacity is calculated based on information on the power consumption corresponding to each operation mode of the camera 1 and the temperature correction coefficient of the battery cell 51, thus displaying the usable time of the battery and the remainder of the battery corresponding to each calculated operation mode.
