PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for displaying own vehicle mark at a more accurate location, when a self-vehicle stops. SOLUTION: The navigation system performs off-route determination, when the vehicle stops. The system specifies an A2 point that is deviated from a road based on travel history data when the vehicle is moved off the route. Furthermore, the system reads an estimated travel route A2-A3-A4-A5, from the A2 point to an A5 point that the vehicle stops from the travel history data, and specifies a vehicle stopping point B5, by combining the estimated travel route to a B2 point of an off-route point that the A2 point is map-matched during traveling to be displayed. Finally, the system displays own vehicle mark at the point B5 which is specified on the display. According to this display, the user can check accurate location that the vehicle has stopped.
