PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large video apparatus such that SDI (Serial Digital Interface) transmission can be performed not only from a controller to an image display unit, but also for data transfer between image display units and data transmission from an image display unit to a controller, wiring, manufacture, tests, and maintenance of the image display unit are made efficient, and the controller and image display unit can bidirectionally transmit information. SOLUTION: An SDI transmitting and receiving circuit 207 is provided in the controller and a unit SDI transmission and reception part 310 is provided in the image display unit 301 constituting a screen. One SDI transmitting and receiving circuit 207 and (m) image display units 301 are wired in a loop by using a coaxial cable, and transmission is performed by SDI over the entire transmission line. As an SDI transmission format, a format is used which makes it possible to transmit data from the controller to the image display units 301 and data from the image display units 301 to the controller on a time-division basis.
