PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ice propagation through a connecting pipe from a release unit to a supercooler in a supercool type icemaker. SOLUTION: The icemaker is provided with the supercooler 2 cooling water W to produce supercooled water Ws, and the release unit 4 releasing the supercooled state of the supercooled water Ws supplied through the connecting pipe 5 from the supercooler 2 in an interior with a larger diameter than the connecting pipe 5. In an inlet part for the supercooled water Ws in the release unit 4, an ice propagation preventing means X is provided for supplying ice propagation preventing water Wh of 0°C or higher around a whole circumference of outflow supercooled water Ws from the connecting pipe 5.
