APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DE-INTERLEAVING IN OFDM/OFDMA SYSTEM

An apparatus and a method for de-interleaving in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)/OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system are provided to improve throughput rate by enabling to perform de-puncturing during de-interleaving as reducing resource waste by reducing a buffer. According to an apparatus for de-interleaving and de-puncturing in an OFDM/OFDMA system, a buffer(200) receives interleaved symbols and interleaving index, and searches and outputs the symbol received in the sequence corresponding to the interleaving index. An index generation part(212) generates index of channel-encoded sequence. A de-puncturing index judging part(214) investigates whether the index generated in the index generation part is index of a sequence requiring de-puncturing. A de-puncturing symbol generation part(218) generates a predetermined de-punctured symbol, if the index is index of the sequence requiring de-puncturing according to the judgement result of the de-puncturing index judging part. An interleaving index calculation part(216) calculates the interleaving index by interleaving the index and then provides the calculated interleaving index to the buffer, if the index is not index of the sequence requiring de-puncturing according to the judgment result of the de-puncturing index judging part.
