An automated rice cooker is provided to eliminate rice weevils and germs in the rice using an ultraviolet lamp and charcoal, and to prevent embryo buds of rice from being undesirably washed out and minimize nutrition destruction by rubbing rice for washing instead of hitting rice by a rotary blade. An apparatus(1) for automatically cooking rice comprises a body(2), a control panel, a rice box(10), a rice supply unit(20), a washing bath(30), and a rice cooking vessel(50), and a heating device(60). The control panel has a display window for displaying state of the apparatus and control buttons on one side of the body. The rice box with a lid(11) is provided inside the body. The rice supply unit supplies a fixed quantity of rice. The washing bath is provided with a rice washing unit(40) for washing the supplied rice with water from a water supply hose(4). The rice cooking vessel receives washed rice and water, where a body(51) of the rice cooking vessel has a dual structure with a heat insulating material on the bottom. The heating device cooks rice by heating the rice and water inside the rice cooking vessel. An ultraviolet lamp(14) and charcoal(15) are provided inside the rice cooking vessel. Inner and outer arc blades(43a,44a) inclined by a predetermined angle to the rice washing unit inside the washing bath are opposed to each other about a center support having a washing water spray unit. |
