THERMOPLASTIC ELASTIC CHIP FOR ARTIFICIAL TURF AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF

A thermoplastic elastomer chip for artificial turf and a method for preparing the thermoplastic elastomer chip are provided to improve light resistance, to enhance environmental friendliness by using no heavy metal and no harmful material, and to allow the size of chips to be controlled freely. A thermoplastic elastomer chip is prepared by using a thermoplastic elastomer resin composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a styrene-based block copolymer; 10-80 parts by weight of an olefin polymer; 30-500 parts by weight of a process oil comprising at least one selected from paraffin-based, naphthene-based and aromatic process oils; 80-600 parts by weight of a filler; and 1-20 parts by weight of a resin stabilizer and a pigment. The thermoplastic elastomer chip has a shore A hardness of 20-80 and a tensile strength of 10-100 kg/cm^2.
