A polishing apparatus is provided to achieve improved user convenience by eliminating the necessity of holding a workpiece to be polished during polishing. A polishing apparatus includes a main body(10), a rotating body, a driving unit(30), a driving unit controller(40), a coolant supply unit(50), and a workpiece fastening arm(60). The rotating body is rotatably arranged in the main body, and compulsorily rotates a workpiece to be polished. The driving unit is arranged in the main body, and compulsorily drives the rotating body. The driving unit controller is mounted on the main body, and controls operation of the driving unit. The coolant supply unit supplies coolant to the workpiece fastened on the rotating body. The workpiece fastening arm is mounted on the main body, and applies a predetermined load to the workpiece and prevents the workpiece from escaping from a polishing position. |
