A load control device of a weight training machine using an electromagnet is provided to keep pre-set load constant by pulling a metal panel at the intensity of the same magnetic field, if the metal panel moves along the set distance by generating the magnetic field with magnetic force. In a load control device of a weight training machine using an electromagnet(110), a load part is composed of the electromagnet fixed at a lower end of the center of a body frame(100) to generate laterally magnetic force controlled according to the operation of a load regulating unit and a metal panel(111) connected to a wire rope(103) and vertically moved to generate load in moving upward, by magnetic force of the electromagnet. The load regulating unit comprises upper and lower micro switches(122,123) detecting ascending and descending critical points of the metal panel; a relay driving unit turning on/off the electromagnet according to on/off operations of the upper and lower micro switches; an electromagnet relay turning on/off power supplied to the electromagnet according to the driving of the relay driving unit; and a power control unit controlling the supplied power of the electromagnet. A power supplied to the electromagnet is cut off by driving the electromagnet relay, if the upper micro switch is turned on. A power is supplied to the electromagnet by driving the electromagnet relay, if the lower micro switch is turned on.
