<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts or the working hours for pasting reflection sheets onto an external wall by controlling up-operation and down-operation of the whole image forming means utilizing one of the toner sensors arranged at each image forming means. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is equipped with an image forming part, a moving part for changing positions of the image forming part, a detecting part for detecting a remaining amount of toner, and a controlling part. The image forming part is equipped with an image carrier for carrying an electrostatic latent image by exposing a charged surface and a developing part for forming a visible image by providing toner to the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier. The detecting unit detects the remaining amount of toner received by the developing part. The controlling part makes the moving part operate to move the position of the image forming part, and also judges the position of the image forming part on the basis of the output of the detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
