PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of valve opening length by projecting the front part of the valve member of the valve mechanism interposed between a housing part and a coating tip into the coating tip in a bending deformable manner and forming a projection to the inner surface of the coating tip in opposed relationship so as to be capable of bringing the same into contact with the front part of the valve member and specifying the max. projection length thereof. SOLUTION: In an applicator for applying a liquid coating agent such as paint or pigment, a front shaft 2 is attached to the front of a container main body 1 and a coating tip is attached to this front shaft 2. A valve member is arranged over the range from the center part of the front end of the coating piece 3a of the coating tip to the rear end of the hollow part 2a of the front shaft 2 through an opening part. A bending deformable plate part 4a is provided to the front end of the valve member and a valve part 4a is provided to the rear end to the plate part 4a. Two inwardly protruding projections 3d are provided to the front end of the inner surface of a coating row on the center side of the coating piece 3a so as to become point symmetric arrangement at the center but the max. protruding length of the projections 3d is set so as to become larger than 1/2 of the distance between the inner walls of the coating tip having the projections 3d formed thereto. |
