<p>The modulator has an oscillator (24) including a control input connected with a loop filter (23) and another control input connected with an output of a modulation unit (30) and generating an output signal depending on control voltages. A frequency divider is connected with another output of the modulation unit and discharges a frequency divided signal in such a manner that the divided signal has a momentary frequency depending on a divider value. The modulation unit has a capacitive voltage divider with a centre tap and is designed to supply one of the control voltages to the centre tap.</p>
