Method to monitor neighbouring radio cells

The method involves assigning a radio cell to a radio communication terminal, where the terminal monitors signals of base stations of adjacent radio cells for producing a measured value report that is transmitted in a network. A traffic channel is received by the terminal with two receivers that are dependent on each other and are of same or different carrier frequencies. The receivers are used to monitor the signals of the adjacent radio cells. The base stations to be monitored are separated into two base station groups, where the groups are monitored by the receivers of the terminal.
