A device adjusting height of a desk and a chair is provided to prohibit students from unfastening an adjusting bolt without a driver, by unfastening the adjusting bolt and then moving a moving tool forward by pressing the bolt in adjusting the height of the desk and the chair. In a device adjusting height of a desk and a chair, an upper pillar(100) is installed at the bottom of the desk and the chair and composed of a moving hole(111) formed on the inner side and extended from the end of a lower part to the upper side and plural height adjusting holes(112) provided with a diameter larger than that of the moving hole and formed at regular intervals along the moving hole. A lower pillar(200) is fitted to the lower side of the upper pillar and moved up and down, and composed of a mounting hole(201) formed on the outer surface and a bolt insertion hole formed on the inner surface. A moving tool is installed in a bracket fixed to the inside of the lower pillar, through the mounting hole, fitted into the fixing hole of the upper pillar in receiving tension of an elastic spring, and pressed through the bolt insertion hole and separated from the fixing hole of the upper pillar. The bracket is fixed to the inside of the lower pillar by both guide rods. A bolt joining screw hole is formed in the center of the moving tool. A flange unit(341) is formed at the outer periphery of the moving tool, and fitted to both guide rods and moved in a longitudinal direction through guide grooves formed at both ends. The height of the pillar is adjusted or the adjusted state is fixed according to the length of an adjusting bolt protruded through the bolt insertion hole by thread-joining the adjusting bolt to the screw hole of the moving tool through the bolt insertion hole of the lower pillar.
