A brake-attached motor and a robot apparatus having the same are provided to increase the life span of a lining by maintaining a brake plate in a shaft direction of a permanent magnet or a spring. A brake-attached motor includes a braking unit(5), a brake plate(7), an amateur(8), a brake spring, a couple of spring receivers(12,13), and supporting springs(14,15). The braking unit(5) is installed on a fixed unit to have a first lining. The brake plate(7) is slidably installed on a rotation shaft along a shaft direction. The brake spring presses the brake plate(7) into the first lining of the braking unit(5) while interposing the amateur(8) with a second lining(9). An electromagnetic device releases braking by sucking the brake plate(7). The couple of spring receivers(12,13) are installed on ends of the rotation shaft while interposing the brake plate(7). The spring receiver(12) of the braking unit(5) is arranged at the braking unit(5). The spring receiver(13) of the electromagnetic device is arranged at the electromagnetic device. The supporting springs(14,15) are arranged between the brake plate(7) and the spring.
