<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device which can realize a long service life by restraining deterioration due to ultraviolet rays and reduce power consumption, and to provide electronic equipment that has the electro-optical device. <P>SOLUTION: A solar cell 20 which generates electromotance by transmitting visible light and absorbing ultraviolet light is provided on a surface (light-projecting surface) Sb, facing an element formating surface Sa of a substrate S.
