PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain reduction in the distortion of a speaker. SOLUTION: The speaker comprises: a frame 5; a magnetic circuit 1 supported by the frame 5; a voice coil body 2 provided within the magnetic gap 8 of the magnetic circuit 1 so that its coil portion 2b can be freely moved; a diaphragm 3 whose inner peripheral portion is connected to the portion of the voice coil body 2 outside the magnetic gap 8; a first edge 4 with the outer peripheral portion of the diaphragm 3 connected to the frame 5; a suspension holder 10 whose inner peripheral portion is connected to the voice coil body 2 or the diaphragm 3; and a second edge 11 with the outer peripheral portion of the suspension holder 10 connected to the frame 5, wherein the second edge 11 is divided into a plurality of parts in the outer periphery of the voice coil body 2 and at least one of the plurality of second edges 11 is formed linearly.
