PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device capable of reducing the rate of trouble due to the suspension of access from another device accessing the storage means of the network device during the switching of a network after network settings have been changed. SOLUTION: In a network device, a network module 12 temporarily limits the operation of a file sharing function in accordance with a notification from a main control module 11 if the operation of starting radio LAN settings is accepted through panel operations (Figure (3)). Thereafter, when a storage medium is connected and a setting file is read from the storage medium and if the validity of the setting file is verified, setting information is sent to the network module 12. Then the network module 12 changes network settings (Figure (11)), and cancels the limitation on the operation of the file sharing function after changes to the settings have ended (Figure (12)).
