PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a silver halide color photosensitive material by which images are stably obtained, and when processing is started in a state where a processing solution in a development processing apparatus is new and processing is continued, coloring density according to exposure energy can stably be obtained at all times. SOLUTION: In the processing method for a silver halide color photosensitive material, a silver halide color photosensitive material containing on a support a yellow image forming silver halide emulsion layer, a magenta image forming silver halide emulsion layer and a cyan image forming silver halide emulsion layer is processed with a processing solution containing an onium salt.
