PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing spectacle lens which has small influence on environment. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the spectacle lens, a cover range A of a semifinished lens is segmented in a semifinished lens manufacturing stage according to power S and power C. In a stage of manufacturing a spectacle lens, a semifinished lens having the power S and power C of a spectacle lens based upon order reception data from a customer within the cover range A is selected and then processed. Consequently, the processing quantity of the semifinished lens decreases and production amounts of cutting waste and polishing waste decrease to reduce influence on environment.
