PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amebocyte lysate (AL) reagent for specifically measuring (1→3)-β-D-glucan (βG), and to provide a method of specifically measuring theβG by using the same. SOLUTION: The AL reagent for measuring theβG contains the AL and polymyxin or its salt, including theβG and/or a related material whose concentration is equal to or lower than the maximum value that does not induce enzyme reaction of a limulus AL.
