PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain detector excellent in working efficiency and using convenience, and reduced in the number of attached components. SOLUTION: This strain detector is provided with a cylindrical strain element 2 for generating a strain by a load, a resistance element arranged in the strain element 2 to vary a resistance value in response to a distortion amount, and a signal processing circuit wire-connected to the resistance element. A screw part 4 is formed in upper and lower sides of the strain element 2 to sandwich the strain element, a case 6 arranged with the signal processing circuit is attached to the strain element 2, the resistance element is arranged on an outer circumferential face of the strain element 2, and the resistance element is wire-connected therein to the signal processing circuit.
