PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint wherein induced thrust is reduced, a shudder phenomenon of a vehicle can be reduced, the number of parts is reduced, and reduction in cost and size can be achieved, and assembling performance can be improved. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint is provided with an outside joint member 1 having a track groove 6 having a roller guide surface 7, a tripod member 2 having a leg shaft 9 protruding to the radial direction, and a roller 3 rotatably externally fitted to the leg shaft 9 through a roller 5. The outside diameter surface 10 of the leg shaft 9 is a cylindrical surface, and the inside diameter surface 14 of the roller 3 is a recessed spherical surface. The outer surface of the axial center 12a of the roller is a cylindrical surface, and axial both ends 12b of the roller 5 are spherical shapes wherein axial outer side diameters thereof are reduced. The roller 5 follows the tilt of the leg shaft 9 while the outside diameter surface 10 of the roller 3 corresponds to the roller guide surface 7 in a state of having an operation angle. A stopper 17 regulating the coming-off of the roller 5 and the roller 3 is provided at the leg shaft 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
