OIL RING AND LUBRICATING STRUCTURE IN CYLINDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil ring capable of exhibiting properties adapted to a light oil lubricating type diesel engine using light oil as fuel and a lubricant. SOLUTION: The oil ring 1 is constituted of the combination of an oil ring body 2 forming the outer peripheral part of the oil ring 1 and an expander 3 comprising a coil spring arranged on the inner peripheral side of the oil ring body 2. A combustion chamber side sliding part 4 and a crankcase side sliding part 5 are formed on the oil ring body 2. Outer peripheral surfaces of the combustion side sliding part 4 and the crankcase side sliding part 5 form sliding surfaces 4a and 5a with respect to a cylinder liner. Groove 7 recessed to the center side of the oil ring 1 are formed on the sliding surfaces 4a and 5a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
