PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor for improving performance of the compressor, by preventing or delaying an axial clearance between a tip surface of respective laps and a plate part corresponding to this tip surface even in use over a long time, while reducing processing accuracy of a fixed scroll and a turning scroll, by forming so as to become different in the height of a lap or the plate part of the scroll. SOLUTION: This scroll compressor includes a frame fixed and joined inside a casing, the fixed scroll fixed and joined to the frame and having a fixed lap on a bottom surface of its plate part, and the turning scroll having a turning lap on an upper surface of its plate part so as to form a compression space of gradually reducing the sealed volume together with the fixed lap of the fixed scroll by turnably moving by meshing with the fixed lap of the fixed scroll.
