PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition crosslinkable with an alkylphenol resin at high crosslinking speed under normal resin crosslinking temperature condition and free from tackiness after crosslinking without using a crosslinking promoter causing corrosion of metals such as halogen-containing compounds and organic acids. SOLUTION: The rubber composition crosslinkable at high crosslinking speed under normal resin crosslinking temperature condition and free from tackiness after crosslinking is obtained without using a crosslinking promoter causing corrosion of metals such as halogen-containing compounds and organic acids by using a rubber composition containing 100 pts.wt. of a rubber composed of butyl rubber and/or EPDM, 1-30 pts.wt. of an alkylphenol resin and 1-100 pts.wt. of a molecular sieve.
